Info food refers to any food consumed to give nutrition support to an organisms. It can also be called the food of life, since it sustains and enhances the life of those organisms. In essence, food is generally of animal, plant or fungal source, and has necessary nutrients, including vitamins, proteins, carbohydrates, and iron. The nutrients in food serve as the building blocks of the body’s tissues and organs. Therefore, it is vital that an individual get the proper amounts of these nutrients in his or her daily diet for good health.

Some of the foods which we normally take for granted, like vegetables and fruits, are actually very helpful in providing the much needed nutrition. Plants have a wide range of essential nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates, iron, calcium, vitamin C, Vitamin E, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and fiber among others. These nutrients are needed by all animals, including humans, for their proper growth and development. However, some plants, like animal products and dairy products, are rich in protein, iron, and calcium and are essential to human health.

Some animals, like fish and poultry, provide information food to people because they do not use land for growing plants or animals. Animals, like deer, elk, and buffalo, are used for their meat and antlers. Other animals, like birds, bees, cats, snakes, cowgirls, and poultry, provide info food because of the essential vitamins and minerals they contain. Animals provide many sources of info food; however, the most popular ones include cows, pigs, chickens, and other farm animals like horses, oxen, etc. Although dairy products are not considered as info food, they also supply the necessary calcium, protein, and other nutrients to humans. Dairy products include cheese, milk, cream, butter, and other dairy-based products.
